Born in Gijón, Spain in 1982, Marcos Tamargo earned a degree in Business Science from the University of Oviedo. In 2005 he was awarded an Erasmus grant to study in England and in 2007, Marcos continued his studies in New York at The School of Visual Arts and The Art Students League.

Marcos is pioneering a new field of work incorporating black light paint over mixed media. When exposed to black light the work reveals additional layers of imagery. He has exhibited in Spain, Germany, Canada and the United States. Marcos currently lives and works between the United States and Europe.
